sometimes obedience is about having a lot more fun and that's what we're going to talk about in today's lesson Annie is a great German shepherd with a lot of good obedience but her obedience is a little bit stiff and it's a little bit pensive so what we're going to do is we're going to have a lot more fun we're going to lighten up the game and we're going to really make obedience into a fun game for her to enjoy and I think you're going to see a big difference in Annie's personality from the beginning to the end of the video let's get started okay so the reason she wants to go play with the other dogs because the dog's fun yeah the reason she doesn't want to play with you is because there's pressure yeah you're gonna have fun right so you're intimidating you're a big guy your strong personality typical just like me so you kind of have to lighten yourself up yeah so with her what I would do here's some cookies um just like animate her like any any good girl it's okay it's okay end it on here I got some more here but so once you get her in that place then end it okay right don't keep doing because then she's gonna get tired but what I want her to do because she sees Jimmy Annie yeah what a good girl what a good girl what a good girl right as opposed to yeah if she plays with him you will never be more fun than him yeah or her or whoever so he's gotta she's got to see that this is all about hey and yeah good girl see that's a much different look at her tail just in the last five minutes yeah you can see and that's for her what she needs right now okay she's gonna always listen to you it's like the working dogs that I had before yeah they were very good with this kind of yeah because she doesn't yeah she's a soft dog yeah so I did the same yeah you can't do it and it didn't work yeah so you know you have to everything goes by the dog right and that's the problem with a lot of trainers is they've trained every dog the same so as long as they keep getting dogs from that one particular line they're fine but as soon as you get a softer dog or a really hard dog now you're lost yeah yeah like a girl and Annie yeah good girl right just get her loose enough and then get her into a heel yeah good girl right okay right just get her to neck yeah yeah yeah good good good good good hey hey yeah good girl and then pay her right and break these treats up like I only gave her like a quarter of a piece each time yeah right lure her she's hungry okay she's hungry it's good can I do it off leash or should I I would just drag the leash because if we need to get her back okay and then we want to don't use the leash too much because it's going to break her spirit yeah and don't tell her sit here like right now it's all about any any and yeah good girl any good about it but it's not gonna be as personal to her as you goofy and then just try it right there stand good girl there you go good girl so it's just easier for her so just do that over yeah do it like 100 times she'll get it at it boy good good stand good girl good girl she's just defaulting to a down yeah right because she's great on the down yeah and the set she she's perfect on it but the thing
